The final practice before Christmas will be Tuesday 17th December.
We will then have a 2 week break, returning on Tuesday 7th January 2025.

EXETER LEAGUE
This weeks visitors were Ottery St Mary B in the Division 1 clash at Uplowman.
As is the case most weeks, it was a tense match with Rockets early 4-1 lead being pegged back to 5-4 following the conclusion of the singles.
This meant Sarah and John needed to win the doubles to secure victory. After 4 close legs it came down to the deciding leg of the night where their experience and consistency helped the team emerge as victors.
Tom and John both picked up valuable singles wins and Sarah secured her 3rd POTM, winning all 3 of her matches.
RESULT 6-4

Trojans made the Monday night trip into Exeter to play Met Office Hurricanes.
It was an entertaining evening with the pendulum constantly swinging, 6 of the singles sets went to the 5th leg.
Like Rockets it then all came down to the doubles to decide the result. Having lost the tight first leg13-11 Tom and Marius found their rhythm and reeled off the next 3 to win the set 3-1. The result helped Trojans maintain their 8th position in the table.
This is a decent position considering they have only Ivan, Marius and Tom as registered players.

The membership now runs from 1st August each year to bring it in line with TTE membership renewal dates.
All applications for TTTC club membership should have a valid TTE membership linked to TTTC.
TTE membership is currently free to social players and is compulsory for any league players.

YOUTH COACHING
Junior training sessions continue on Tuesday evenings from 18.00-19.00, cost £2.00 per child, this will include Tiverton TTC membership.
These will normally be taken by Sarah Baker who is a level 1 coach and has been the winner of the Somerset Ladies Open Championship on multiple occasions.
Session places are limited to 8 players maximum, 8 years+ and must be booked in advance with Sarah, all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the session. These evenings are intended for children who are beginners.
There are bats available to borrow for those who don't have their own.
It is hoped to run these every Tuesday in school term times throughout the year.
